POE 1
POE 2

so, the 4th day. woke up early. breakfast and we went to Yao Shan. Yao Shan is the highest point in Guilin. sebab winter, so cuaca dekat sana memang totally sejuks sangats. ketaq-ketaq lutut sis dekat puncak. sebelum naik tu, our group habis borong semua winter jacket PRC, sewa 10 yuan satu. memasing pakai dah macam panda warna hijau semua. gebu-gebu jadinya sensorang. leulz
angkatan PRC import. hahahaha. macam penguin hijau.
untuk sampai ke puncak, kami kena naik cable car. masa Crystal inform yang kena naik cable car, yakin habis macam cable car biasa, yang boleh naik ramai, pastu berdinding, tutup semua tu. sekali...takde maknanya cenggitu. cable car atau rasanya much prefer as cable chair ni memang wall-less, takde dinding, tapak nak pijak semua takde. kerusi semata dengan pengadang untuk safety. tu je lah. naik berdua atau sorang. dah la bukan sekejap, dalam 20 minit la jugak nak sampai puncak. dengan ada time nya curam semacam nya, pastu gegar lah ape lah. dengan angin pulak pagi-pagi tu. gerun sistur tahu? geli tapak kaki kot masa naik tu. sebab rasa macam takde apa nak pijak. sampai puncak, semua ketaq lutut. comel sungguh. kekekekek. so, we spent like 20 mins up there, ambik gambar view semua. sadly, view tak berapa nice sebab foggy. berkabus. sobs. tapi to witness the miniature of Guilin from bird's eye view..it was stunning. rasa kecik sangat diri ni. Allah is the best creator, the best painter ever.
cable chair.

view at the top of mountain

view at the top of mountain

the most exciting part is, time nak turun from the top. to those yang pernah naik Luge dekat NZ or SG, dekat sini pun ada uolsss ! tapi takde la jalan dia besar cam NZ dgn SG tu. dia slide. slide atas besi yang panjang dan narrow. best sangat ! bayar 45 yuan sorang, then turunlah via slide tu. kalau tanak turun dengan cable car, boleh pilih this option. less scary than that cable car. for me lah at least. hahaha. it was fun! kena naik cable car dari top of mountain, pastu turun dekat check point dia, beli tiket, then naik slide tu sampai bawah. totally worth the money. kalau lah tak rush and dorang ada pakej untuk naik cable car just to ride the slide, memang sis dah repeat lagi sekali. tutup mata je la naik cable car tu untuk sampai check point. hiks.

cik wati ready to sliiiideeee.
from there, we went to bamboo factory, again. gov factory guys, memang kena pergi. then, we had lunch at the same restaurant near to the mosque and then kami pegi menonton Dreamlike Li River, an acrobatic-ballet show yang menceritakan tentang Li River and the beautiful Guilin. then, we headed to Shanhu Lake, for the Sun & Moon Pagoda. okay this pagoda connected to each other thru underwater glass tunnel. im not sure boleh masuk ke tak, but as what i read, macam nice je tunnel ni. hmmm. kena repeat ke cane ni. :p these pagodas also known as Silver & Gold Pagoda sebab lightning at night. yang Sun Pagoda tinggi sikit dari Moon's one. view pagoda ni memang stunning time waktu malam. lawaaaaa sangat! sesiang nampak dull, tapi bila malam, pheuwww. lawaaaa ! Shanhu Lake ni betul-betul located near to Guilin City Center. near to Zhenyang Walking Street. nak ke pagoda ni kalau ikut walking street ni, u guys akan lalu a part of street yang jual baaaaanyak souvenirs. kat situ korang tawar lah habis2, dapat lah souvenirs harga murah. kalau tanak tawar kat situ, if ikut pakej, selalu guide akan offer ada lady ni pegi bilik korang bawak macam-macam jenis souvenir untuk korang beli dengan harga yang rendah dari dekat luar. kira shopping dekat bilik je. takyah pegi kedai-kedai dekat luar sana. bahagia betul.
Dreamlike Li River show

Sun & Moon Pagoda or Silver & Gold Pagoda at night

and then, we back to hotel, dinner and free&easy time. so, as usual lah, sis ni memang kaki explore sikit, pantang rasa agak mampu, memang jalan je lah. i had a great night that time. berjalan ke pagoda tu again, and then walked along the river sampai next bridge near to fubo hill. lepak-lepak tepi sungai tengok anak muda Guilin pasang lantern, hanyutkan bunga lili. malam minggu kan? meriah nau nau dekat tepi sungai tu. and that's the end of the trip.
Li Riverside

haaa nampak tak dua lantern tu. tengah-tengah tu full moon.

end of day 4.

the next day, pagi dah hujan lebat. had breakfast dekat nearby restaurant, then headed to airport. Crystal helped us sampai immigration. and our trip ended. it was a very nice trip. new experience. new memories. i strongly suggest u guys untuk pergi Guilin. memang paradise that left on earth. sangat.

the end.

i'll try to write on my Aceh's trip and the Tokyo that i skipped. sorry.

till then,

POE 1

so, 2nd part. next day. the day we headed to Yangshuo.

Yangshuo ni kira macam kalau pegi Guilin tu, Yangshuo ni akan termasuk sekali lah dalam iti. bandar Yangshuo ni dikelilingi oleh limestone mountains. memang kiri kanan depan belakang gunung tetinggi je semua bila kita dah masuk this city. view dia, masyaAllah, subhanallah..memang heavenly. tambah2 kalau berkabus, sejuk. ya Allah..even tak pernah tau macam mana syurga tu..kalau view dekat sini pun dah stunning sesangat, bayangkanlah syurga tu berjuta kali stunning dia ya Allah.
our bus. on our way to Yangshuo
okay, so we checked out dari Eva Inn around 7 am, breakfast dekat restaurant yang belakang masjid the one yang i post gambar on last entry. after that, terus gerak ke Yangshuo. journey via bus took us around 2 hrs dengan jalan lompat-lompat sakit abes badan. memang keluar awal sebab nak kejar cruise dekat Li River area Yangshuo pukul 10.30am punya. memang kitorang sampai tepat2 je cruise tu nak gerak dah. Crystal, our guide, jalan kemain laju. dah lah hujan, penat nak ngejor dia nye ha. orz. so, kami naik cruise tu pusing Li River around 1 hr cenggitu. sayang la sikit sebab time tu hujan, so view of the mountains tu tak nampak sangat. dia macam....sape pernah naik cruise dekat Mildford Sound, South NZ, lebih kurang la. but Mildford Sound much heavenly lah for me. this river memang surrounded by limestone mountains, view dia, masyaAllah, lawa weiiiiiiiiii! rasa nak flip semua benda sebab gambar tak boleh nak tunjuk how stunning the view is tahu tak? geram rasa. air dia jernih, dengan cuaca sejuk, pheuwwwwwww. nice one lah.
one of the nice view. how i wish there is no fog that day.

sungai ni macam ada dua current dekat this certain place. berlawanan arus.

our group.

after the cruise, we headed to our 2nd hotel, Starway Hotel yang located betul-betul in the middle of Yangshuo town, walking distance from West Street around ~5 mins, tempat orang nak shopping. rehat, solat, makan dekat the only halal restaurant bagai. then we headed to Yu Long River untuk experience naik bamboo raft. orang-orang sini dulu memang guna bamboo raft untuk tangkap ikan semua. ngeri gak ah memula nak naik tu, bamboo kot! dibuatnya reput, tenggelam sistur dalam sungai tu cemano? dahlah tatau dalam ke idak. but, Alhamdulillah. safe and sound. hahahah even la sepanjang naik tu, bising sis suruh balance kan. mana taknya, naik raft tu dengan ayah, ayah wan, tokma, ibu ngn abg cik kot. bayangkan berapa total berat atas raft tu. ayah gerak sikit, raft senget. ayah wan gerak sikit, raft senget sebelah. ngeri weiiii ! the view sepanjang sungai tu, subhanallah. magnificent ! air jernih subhanallah. hijau jernih. then, kami tengok demo commorant bird tangkap ikan. kaki burung ni macam kaki itik untuk bagi dia senang berenang dalam air. lama gila kot burung ni boleh dive dalam air tu. dah dapat ikan, dia berenang balik dekat owner dia. tapi kesian sbb burung ni kena ikat dekat leher nak elak dorang makan ikan yang ditangkap tu. wuwuwuw. sedih sistur. sobs. TAT oh, lepastu kalau rasa nak pegang burung tu pun boleh. kena bayar 10 yuan kat owner dia. merasa lah sis bagi burung tu bertenggek dekat tangan, walaupun end up dia pegi berak. nasib baik bukan atas baju sis dia berak. bertuah punya burung. ceh.
the only halal restaurant nearby our hotel. ~1 min walk

bamboo rafting

sempat la sistur berkenalan dengan burung commorant ni ha.

lepas rafting, kami ke Silver Cave. kenapa silver? sebab stalactite and stalagmite dalam cave tu shining macam silver. the view inside the cave tu ya Allah subhanallah. lawa sangat. dengan bantuan lampu-lampu yang dorang install dalam cave tu, magnificent wei! nak masuk cave ni, please wear proper shoes, stamina mesti kuat sebab naik turun tangga dalam cave tu penat gak ah kalau tak kuat. but, my tokma yang umur 67 pun boleh buat, korang yang memuda nak buat takkan takleh ye dok? udara dalam cave ni pun stabilize the whole year. suhu between 20-22 degrees. dorang buat rice wine, dorang simpan dalam cave ni sebab suhu yang stabil. suhu stabil ni jugak menjadikan cave ni as natural air conditioning time summer, or heater time winter. masa kat luar kitorang ketor-ketor sebab hujan and of course sejuk kan...bila masuk dalam cave ni, rasa nyaman je. tak sejuk, tak panas. just nice.

mirror view of the stalagmite.
kalau nampak macam music note.

after that, we headed back to hotel. rehat semua. then dinner dekat the same restaurant nearby. and then kitorang pegi jenjalan dekat West Street. dekat situ kalau uols minat tumbler, ada satu kedai yang mana semua tumbler dia harga 29.90 Yuan. BANYAK CHOICE WEIII. mabuk sistur masuk kedai tu. semua nak beli. hahahahah. dah la comel. lawa pulak tu. nasib baik sis sedar diri. kalau tak, ade yang borong tumbler. XD

view of  Yangshuo street at night.

end of day 2 in Yangshuo.

next day, we headed back to Guilin city. on our way back there, kami singgah dekat Shangri-La Park. Shangri-La kalau ikut Crystal, maksudnya, Fairy Land. memang nampak la fairy land tu. lawaaaaaaaaaaaa. nak menangis rasa. masuk park ni, kami naik bot around 20~30 mins cruising along the river. tengok natural cave, air dekat sungai ni masyaAllah, jernih ya amat ! warna turqoise, nampak segala isi dalam tau! sepanjang cruise tu, ada lah beberapa miniature house yang represent the minorities dekat Guilin ni. unik and nice. traditional buildings semua. lelawaaaaaaa.

and then sampai Guilin, we went to Tea Place, macam ala-ala tea factory lah. bagi demo tea, pastu jual teas dorang. lepas tu we headed to Prince Palace. palace ni located betul-betul dekat middle of Guilin. ada pathway yang betul-betul center Guilin. kira jalan atas pathway tu macam jalan dekat tengah Guilin tu lah. 50-50 Guilin on our side gittewwww. palace ni built on Ming Dynasty, tempat bersemayam nephew of the emperor. emperor palace dekat Beijing kan? so, nephew dia rules Guilin ni lah. and this nephew ni adalah nephew kesayangan. mana tau kesayangan? dekat door nephew ni, dia boleh guna the 7x9 door. sebab dulu, 9 hanya boleh digunakan oleh emperor je. tapi prince ni boleh guna 9 tu. it shows how the emperor adores the prince.
entrance to the palace

yours truly

pathway of the center Guilin

and then, we headed to jade factory. gov factory, again. then headed back to Eva Inn. malam tu, we strolled along the Li River sampai lah ke Sun & Moon Pagoda dekat Shanhu Lake yang walking distance je dari hotel. around 10 mins walk dah sampai. ikut shortcut dalam 5 mins gitu.

end of day 3.

next part will be the last part.

till then.

salam..

hi all~ we meet again in another country, another province, another place to conquer.

yes, i did promise nak sambung cerita doraemon land, my trip to Tokyo this year kan? tapiiiiiii...sistur takde mood pulak nak sambung Tokyo tu. nanti la eh. draft dah ada. nak pilih gambar tu yang maleh nye lahai. hiks.

okay, kalini sis nak share dengan kalian semua my experience dekat this so-called Paradise on Earth. dekat mana paradise ni? located in Guangxi province, the place named, Guilin. ya Allah, Subhanallah, memang sesuai sangat dengan gelaran 'paradise on earth' tu..view dia sangat stunning! selalu kita kaitkan China ni mesti shopping kan? tapi dekat Guilin dengan Yangshuo ni, bukan untuk shopping la. memang sightseeing je. sumpah cantik sangat. SANGAT with capitals.

anyway, i'm not sure berapa part untuk this place, but..i'll try to make it as short and simple as possible. insyaAllah. First and foremost, this trip adalah group trip which consists of 15 people, guna pakej from Juara Travel & Tours, dengan kos RM1999 all-in/person. 5 days and 4 nights.

okay, our trip started around 11pm we arrived dekat KLIA2, untuk overnight sebab our flight on 22nd dec, AK156, 5.55am. which check in around 3am. that was my first time sebenarnya overnight dekat KLIA2, it was...okay i guess. ada tempat boleh baring, tadehal punya. kawasan besar. nice lah untuk overnight. takde masalah.

then, we arrived at Guilin Liangjiang International Airport around 9.25am. our journey from KUL to KWL around 3 hrs and 55 mins. i did some token of love dalam flight tu. but that's another story lah. later lah kalau rajin i'll blog about it. ihiks. okay, once arrived, kami disambut oleh Crystal, our tour guide for the next 5 days. she's quite good. okaylah. the day we arrived tu, bumi Guilin hujan. sejuk dia ya Tuhannnnn..sejuks! winter kan, what to expect right? nak panas, pegi time summer lah. so, lepas sampai tu, kami terus head to halal restaurant for lunch. this restaurant located betul-betul belakang masjid Guilin (which idk what is the name of that mosque). the food was nice. eatable lah untuk orang-orang yang cerewet nak makan. me? memang takde makna cerewet. iols makan je semua. :p
masjid Guilin yang berusia 200 tahun lebih.

restaurant yang menjadi tempat makan kami sepanjang di Guilin
once dah lunch, we head to Elephant Trunk Hill. okay, kalau ikut mitos orang sana, dikatakan batu tu adalah gajah yang turun ke bumi kekonon untuk tengok bumi ni cemana, dah turun kat bumi, dia tanak naik balik sebab captivated dengan kecantikan bumi ni kot(?). then ada General ni turun ke bumi untuk ajak gajah ni naik balik, tapi dia tetap takmo naik. dorang pun had a fight berterusan sampai lah gajah ni rasa dahaga. so, dia pegi minum dekat river bank tu, and that time lah general ni ambik peluang untuk stab the gajah. pagoda yang atas hill tu diibaratkan as sword punya pemegang yang di stab on the gajah by the general tu. this hill scenic spot paling famous dekat Guilin ni. kalau google pasal Guilin, mesti keluar gambar hill ni punya. confirm!
Elephant Trunk Hill and the Pagoda on top of it.

next, we headed to Fubo Hill. kononnya dikatakan hill ni control ombak. kiranya ombak dekat sungai ni, bila sampai dekat hill ni mcm subdue la. wave-subduing gitu lebih kurang. dorang percaya yang hill ni ada power on that bila General Fubo bina a temple here. dekat Fubo Hill ni jugak ada satu batu yang macam hanging and terpisah dari batu bawahnya tu macam seolah-olah dipotong oleh a very tajam sword. nama batu ni Sword Testing Stone. mitosnya adalah, general tu nak test sword dia, and he cut the stone. then batu tu terbelah cantiiiiik je. and dorang percaya kalau batu tu bersambung, akan lahir seorang manusia yang paling hebat di dunia ini.

Sword Testing Stone

after that, kami dibawa ke silk factory. well, kalau datang guna package ke china ni, tak sah lah kalau tak pegi gov factory ni. /shrugs/ then we headed to our hotel Eva Inn that located betul-betul depan Li River and dinner at another halal restaurant near our hotel in Zhengyang Walking Street which only walking distance from our hotel.

Eva Inn, located near Li River bank

restaurant untuk dinner kami for the whole trip.

end of day 1.

next day, check out and headed to Yangshuo, which 2hrs journey via bus. next entry lah kot. panjang pulak dah rasanya. hmmmm.

till then.

Salam.. hello..

part I
part II

New entry. New part. New Day.

Based on our own itinerary.. today is a u-can-do-anything-on-ur-own day. Which mean, I can go anywhere I go and my parents can go anywhere they wanna go.

So…I decided with my adik2, we will go and have a Seoul City Tour by ourselves! First, we headed to Hongdae..Hongdae seriously for young people. Lots of cafes! We walked there for 1 hour or so.. and I decided to teman syaza walked to YG. Well, since we are in Hongdae, so we took chance to go there. We just strolled, and found the building. !

The building is kinda far from Hongdae Station.. but well, to let Syaza feel how i feel when i saw SMEnt right in front of my eyes, I just willingly to walk with her there.

YG Building from far..

YG Building~

Then we headed to Insadong to buy souvenirs… for Malaysian, u can go to this one shop in Insadong.. the seller can speak Malay! She’s Korean, but she can speak Malay..quite lancar. We talked rojak – malay+Korean. And she gave us LOTS of discounts! Insadong street is a nice place to walk and look for a craft, handmade craft for souvenirs in lower price.

In front of Insadong street. SJ everywhereeeee!

we bought all the souvenirs at this shop~

us with the tuan punya kedai who can speak malay. oh this pic was taken on 2nd last day. :3

After that, we went to Yeuido. Well, at first we decided wanna go to Gayang to SBS station, but since the journey will take a lot of time, and we don’t wanna be back late, so we just ignore the Gayang, and we only went to Yeuido to KBS station. Well, we did lost a bit in here since we walk out from wrong exit at subway station. But we just took the opportunity to stroll around Yeuido.. Yeuido is sooooooo green! Full with trees! We walked across the Yeuido park, I think this one is the small park, not the big one beside HanGang. Lots of youngsters hangs there, playing basketball, scooter, bicycle etc. nice view though. Then we walked towards this one building.. and found this one café ! guess? HANDEL & GRETEL! Ok, this café own by Yeparents. Met with Yemom and Yedad too. Talk later if RAJIN. When we found this café, this means, the KBS building just in front of us! So we walk to the front of KBS, and yeah, see where the SUKIRA always be held and whatnot. We did hang around a bit outside KBS..just for a while though..~

the unique sculpture at Yeuido.~

Handel and Gretel~

Handel and Gretel again~

the place where SUKIRA open studio being held. err..actually it's beside this window. =P

KBS!

Since we have to go back home before it’s too late… we can’t go visit MBC too even we already in Yeuido. sobs.

Then we headed back to guesthouse in Apgujeong. Tired but enjoyed though.

again. do note that this trip was in 2012. H&G didnt exist anymore, YeParents own another cafe called MouseRabbit cafe now.

see ya in next entry!

till then,

No say,"hello awak!"
Salam. Hello. I’m back with another part for another day !

Day 2…
today’s plan is, visiting all the palaces! So, we left the guesthouse around 10am, after so much fuss and whatnot. Then we headed straight to Angguk station from Apgujeong station.

Ok this one, no need to change Line since both station on Line 3.
And one more thing.. our main transport back and forth guesthouse and all place that we visited are our foot and subway. No taxi or bus.

Once arrive at Angguk, we headed to exit #3 to go to Chandeokgung Palace. From the station to that palace, it took around 5 minutes walk. We bought the entry ticket, at first we plan to visit the secret garden where the place of Rooftop Prince shooting the one where the princess died in the pond and Hwang Seja cried. But then, to visit the garden, we have to wait for the guide, unfortunately for us, the English guide only available during evening. So we decided not to visit the garden, we just take a walk around the palace with entry ticket 3000KRW for adults and 1500KRW for children. **note that this trip took place in 2012** The palace is SO big. With hot weather, we just walk around the palace for 30~1 hour.. then we headed to Gyeongbokgung Palace for the guard ceremony change.

entranceeeeee~~~

main gate of Chandeokgung Palace.

background...err..balai rong seri?

jalan nak ke setiap inci istana~

To go to the Gyeongbokgung Palace from Chandeokgung Palace, we have two options – walk for 25 minutes or take a train and stop at next station, Gyeongbokgung. And guess what option we took? Yes. Train. Journey just took around 10 minutes.

So, when we arrive at Gyeongbokgung, the ceremony not started yet. Pheuw.. thankfully. At that time, the guards all are ready to change. So, we wait few minutes for the ceremony to start. Around 12.10pm, the ceremony started ! the guard changing for this palace is totally take a very long time. But seriously, too many things to do just to change the guard during that dynasty. Once the ceremony done, at first, we want to go into the palace, but after thinking, we decided not to. We just walk around there, took pics with the guards etc.

The Guard Changing Ceremony held every hour. From 10 ~ 5pm ? no need entrance fee. The ceremony held outside palace at Gwanghwamun Gate right infront of main door of the palace.
In front of the palace, there is Sejong Square, where King Sejong statue located. The view there is soooooooooooo beautiful! Green grass, flowers. Beautiful. I like! Under King Sejong statue, there are like.. underground gallery, the history of how the hangul character invented. I took few pictures wearing King Sejong outfit. Oh, we can try it for FREE!

hiburan dekat olleh square~

Then we headed to Namsangol Hanok Vilage from Gwanghwamun Station. We have to change Line, since Gwanghwamun is Line 4, and Chungmuro is Line 3.

Oh, Gwanghwamun Station located JUST beside Sejong Square, exit 2, located in front of Olleh Square across of Sejong Square.

From the Chungmuro  station, we took exit 4 to go to the Namsangol Hanok Village, we walked about 10 minutes to there. Oh, I remember this one incident..in front of the village gate, I was like, randomly read the sign on the gate, it wrote 남산골한옥마을 , so I just read it..suddenly, there is one ahjusshi, come and greet me, and said, “u read?u can read hangul?” and I just answered, “neh.. can..”, and he said, “good.good.” while patting my hand. I just can smile to him. Back to this village, inside this village, there are 5 hanok houses by 5 families. The house are so traditional. Those who love to learn the culture of Korean families, can come and see it here.

in front of one of the main entrance to the traditional house~

gasing? err..

welcome to Namsangol Hanok Village!

After that, we decided to go back home to get some rest before have a night walk…..

We had some rest, home-cooked dinner, then we decided to go to Dongdaemun..at first, we wanna go n buy souvenirs there.. BUT… once we arrive there, the shops…most of it are close! And I was like… WHAT??? But then, we decided to just hang around the Cheonggyecheon Stream. The stream in the middle of Seoul City. Regardless of Summer season, the water in the stream are totally COLD!! So freaking cold. I can’t imagine during other seasons though.

the stream near dongdaemun~

stream again~

dipping my foot in cold water...so refreshing!

After like.. 1 hour or so… we decided to go back home… BUT! That’s just for my parents. Once we arrive at Apgujeong Station, I asked permission from ayah to go to this one café to buy something. Guess what café? KONA BEANS! Why I’m so excited with this café? Well, this café own by three moms of three members SJ. Teukmom, Kyumom and Mingmom. If ku RAJIN, I’ll tell u the story what happened in this café between me and the moms in other entry.

welcome to Kona Beans!

inside~

me with 3 sons from the 3 moms that own the cafe. :3

Ok..general information. Kona Beans located like…. 3~5 minutes walk from where I stay using jalan dalam.

End of Day 2~~~~ zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

again. this is my trip in 2012. Kona Beans still exist, but didnt own by the three moms anymore. only TeukMom now. MingMom already have her own cafe, Wiki Cafe and KyuMom also have her own one.
