Day 4… Nami Island and Namsan Tower!

Today we headed to Nami Island!! Ibu prepared nasi lemak for us to have lunch there. We left the house at 8am..then headed to Express Bus Terminal Station from Apgujeong Station.

We use subway to go to the jetty to Nami Island.

From EBT station, we took, Line 7 to Sanbong Station. From Sanbong, we change to line to Gyeongchun Line to go to Gapyeong station. once arrived, we took the taxi to the jetty.

Afraid not, once u arrived in Gapyeong station, there are volunteers to help u. u just have to find which volunteers can speak English!

So, we headed to Nami by ferry. The weather was so freaking HOT! But the scenery was so breathtaking! Arrive Nami, there, under the trees, there are like…wood?and people get to write their name there. Even for 2012 one, there is no place to write anymore. But I just write it. Lol. Guess first thing we did once we arrive? Yes, EAT. We ate nasi lemak that we bring, after that, we decided to do our own activity and meet again at the jetty around 1.30pm.

arriveeeeeeeeeeeee!

saupi's family is here. 20120709. :)

welcome to Naminara Republic!

kita makan dulu before exploring the island!

Well, as we know, Nami Island is popular due to Winter Sonata drama..so there are lots of places with Winter Sonata pictures. The view…can’t say anything. So beautiful. Well, since we went there during summer,so greeeeeeeeny. So breathtaking. I like it a lot!!

Then we get back to Seoul… on the way back, I slept all the way from Gapyeong to Sangbong. .

Once reached Chungmuro station, we took Line 4 to Myeongdong since we wanna go to Namsan Tower via Cable Car. We can also walked to Namsan Tower, but then, to reach there, kena naik tangga banyak oiiii! Actually to go to cable car, we also need to walk the what we say..jalan berbukit? And panjat tangga tinggi! Sweaty all the way to cable car.

view of Seoul from cable car.

muka penat. lol.

Namsan Tower!

successssssssss! pergh. tired okkkk.
After we ride a cable car, we need to walk on few flight of stairs too! Seriously sweaty all over body. We stay there for a while, went to paddle lock place, and all.. oh, during our visit, there is like… presscon for this one film.. I don’t remember the title.. but seems like an action film. The actors are not there yet. >.<”

After Namsan, we headed home~~

End journey of my parents……

While me, after dinner, went to Kona Beans AGAIN. To meet this one Korean Unnie. Since I have LOTS of things to give it to her and others, so we met in KB. Well, KB is like a meeting place for all of my Korean friends with the International friends. Beside KB, HnG also is the meeting place for us. Easy though. Stayed for just few minutes, since I’m too tired to stay longer and she wanna head back home in Anyang then.

Then, end of my journey of Day 4~

See ya in next part!! Last part?

Salam.. hello..

part I
part II

New entry. New part. New Day.

Based on our own itinerary.. today is a u-can-do-anything-on-ur-own day. Which mean, I can go anywhere I go and my parents can go anywhere they wanna go.

So…I decided with my adik2, we will go and have a Seoul City Tour by ourselves! First, we headed to Hongdae..Hongdae seriously for young people. Lots of cafes! We walked there for 1 hour or so.. and I decided to teman syaza walked to YG. Well, since we are in Hongdae, so we took chance to go there. We just strolled, and found the building. !

The building is kinda far from Hongdae Station.. but well, to let Syaza feel how i feel when i saw SMEnt right in front of my eyes, I just willingly to walk with her there.

YG Building from far..

YG Building~

Then we headed to Insadong to buy souvenirs… for Malaysian, u can go to this one shop in Insadong.. the seller can speak Malay! She’s Korean, but she can speak Malay..quite lancar. We talked rojak – malay+Korean. And she gave us LOTS of discounts! Insadong street is a nice place to walk and look for a craft, handmade craft for souvenirs in lower price.

In front of Insadong street. SJ everywhereeeee!

we bought all the souvenirs at this shop~

us with the tuan punya kedai who can speak malay. oh this pic was taken on 2nd last day. :3

After that, we went to Yeuido. Well, at first we decided wanna go to Gayang to SBS station, but since the journey will take a lot of time, and we don’t wanna be back late, so we just ignore the Gayang, and we only went to Yeuido to KBS station. Well, we did lost a bit in here since we walk out from wrong exit at subway station. But we just took the opportunity to stroll around Yeuido.. Yeuido is sooooooo green! Full with trees! We walked across the Yeuido park, I think this one is the small park, not the big one beside HanGang. Lots of youngsters hangs there, playing basketball, scooter, bicycle etc. nice view though. Then we walked towards this one building.. and found this one café ! guess? HANDEL & GRETEL! Ok, this café own by Yeparents. Met with Yemom and Yedad too. Talk later if RAJIN. When we found this café, this means, the KBS building just in front of us! So we walk to the front of KBS, and yeah, see where the SUKIRA always be held and whatnot. We did hang around a bit outside KBS..just for a while though..~

the unique sculpture at Yeuido.~

Handel and Gretel~

Handel and Gretel again~

the place where SUKIRA open studio being held. err..actually it's beside this window. =P

KBS!

Since we have to go back home before it’s too late… we can’t go visit MBC too even we already in Yeuido. sobs.

Then we headed back to guesthouse in Apgujeong. Tired but enjoyed though.

again. do note that this trip was in 2012. H&G didnt exist anymore, YeParents own another cafe called MouseRabbit cafe now.

see ya in next entry!

till then,

Salam. Hello. I’m back with another part for another day !

Day 2…
today’s plan is, visiting all the palaces! So, we left the guesthouse around 10am, after so much fuss and whatnot. Then we headed straight to Angguk station from Apgujeong station.

Ok this one, no need to change Line since both station on Line 3.
And one more thing.. our main transport back and forth guesthouse and all place that we visited are our foot and subway. No taxi or bus.

Once arrive at Angguk, we headed to exit #3 to go to Chandeokgung Palace. From the station to that palace, it took around 5 minutes walk. We bought the entry ticket, at first we plan to visit the secret garden where the place of Rooftop Prince shooting the one where the princess died in the pond and Hwang Seja cried. But then, to visit the garden, we have to wait for the guide, unfortunately for us, the English guide only available during evening. So we decided not to visit the garden, we just take a walk around the palace with entry ticket 3000KRW for adults and 1500KRW for children. **note that this trip took place in 2012** The palace is SO big. With hot weather, we just walk around the palace for 30~1 hour.. then we headed to Gyeongbokgung Palace for the guard ceremony change.

jalan nak ke setiap inci istana~

To go to the Gyeongbokgung Palace from Chandeokgung Palace, we have two options – walk for 25 minutes or take a train and stop at next station, Gyeongbokgung. And guess what option we took? Yes. Train. Journey just took around 10 minutes.

So, when we arrive at Gyeongbokgung, the ceremony not started yet. Pheuw.. thankfully. At that time, the guards all are ready to change. So, we wait few minutes for the ceremony to start. Around 12.10pm, the ceremony started ! the guard changing for this palace is totally take a very long time. But seriously, too many things to do just to change the guard during that dynasty. Once the ceremony done, at first, we want to go into the palace, but after thinking, we decided not to. We just walk around there, took pics with the guards etc.

The Guard Changing Ceremony held every hour. From 10 ~ 5pm ? no need entrance fee. The ceremony held outside palace at Gwanghwamun Gate right infront of main door of the palace.
In front of the palace, there is Sejong Square, where King Sejong statue located. The view there is soooooooooooo beautiful! Green grass, flowers. Beautiful. I like! Under King Sejong statue, there are like.. underground gallery, the history of how the hangul character invented. I took few pictures wearing King Sejong outfit. Oh, we can try it for FREE!

hiburan dekat olleh square~

Then we headed to Namsangol Hanok Vilage from Gwanghwamun Station. We have to change Line, since Gwanghwamun is Line 4, and Chungmuro is Line 3.

Oh, Gwanghwamun Station located JUST beside Sejong Square, exit 2, located in front of Olleh Square across of Sejong Square.

From the Chungmuro  station, we took exit 4 to go to the Namsangol Hanok Village, we walked about 10 minutes to there. Oh, I remember this one incident..in front of the village gate, I was like, randomly read the sign on the gate, it wrote 남산골한옥마을 , so I just read it..suddenly, there is one ahjusshi, come and greet me, and said, “u read?u can read hangul?” and I just answered, “neh.. can..”, and he said, “good.good.” while patting my hand. I just can smile to him. Back to this village, inside this village, there are 5 hanok houses by 5 families. The house are so traditional. Those who love to learn the culture of Korean families, can come and see it here.

After that, we decided to go back home to get some rest before have a night walk…..

We had some rest, home-cooked dinner, then we decided to go to Dongdaemun..at first, we wanna go n buy souvenirs there.. BUT… once we arrive there, the shops…most of it are close! And I was like… WHAT??? But then, we decided to just hang around the Cheonggyecheon Stream. The stream in the middle of Seoul City. Regardless of Summer season, the water in the stream are totally COLD!! So freaking cold. I can’t imagine during other seasons though.

stream again~

dipping my foot in cold water...so refreshing!

After like.. 1 hour or so… we decided to go back home… BUT! That’s just for my parents. Once we arrive at Apgujeong Station, I asked permission from ayah to go to this one café to buy something. Guess what café? KONA BEANS! Why I’m so excited with this café? Well, this café own by three moms of three members SJ. Teukmom, Kyumom and Mingmom. If ku RAJIN, I’ll tell u the story what happened in this café between me and the moms in other entry.

welcome to Kona Beans!
